In an e-mail I received from Mr. Blatty's wife on June 28, 2007, she was
graciously able to confirm the following:
"Bill is hard at work
on a musical comedy! It will be part of the Fringe Festival in NY this
most recent information I have been able to gather regarding what Blatty is
currently working on, or has been working on, is from the following
extract taken from a 1999 interview:
Elsewhere be your next film project as writer-director?
Oh, I do hope so! Very much.
Can you tell us
anything about the production (cast, possible release date, etc.)?

mind, but we are presently in the process of arranging financing.
I have a
warm, funny book in mind, a "life after death" twist on a kind of Catcher
In The Rye (Doc Savage Never Died), but first I must complete a
work of many years, Dimiter, a theological thriller.
