The "Keeper of the Ninth"
I just got done reading this now, and wow! What an uplifting story. Bill was absolutely spot-on when he said the reader would want to hug it in the above interview. You will all love it too.

He sounds so happy and full of energy in this interview. I wish he would go on a book tour that would bring him anywhere near me. I'd love to shake his hand.
Absolutely!
Just received this message (not pasting the whole thing, just the relevant bit re: "Crazy"):
Thanks so much, Ryan; a great start to my day. And, yes, I attended St. Stephens Parochial School
and much in the novel is autobiographical.

If you ever get a chance, track down a copy of "Tell them I'll remember you." Better yet, grab the audiobook read by Blatty. I have it btw. It's amazing and chock full of great stuff about his upbringing. I imagine there are shades of that throughout "Crazy."
Yes, I have the hardback version and the smaller paperback version. I started reading it a couple of years back but didn't get right into it, I'll read it after "Elsewhere". The audiobook (tape) version continues to elude me, even on eBay!
